Even though we are several months away, GP Sports Cycling & Fitness traditionally
marks the end of the cycling season in November with the Horrible Hundred in Central
Florida. This year we will be spending an entire week in Florida. The week will be
filled with tons of fun activities, cycling, and relaxation. Our accommodations will
be 4 STAR rated vacation homes.
We opted for vacation homes instead of hotels because
we truly want our cyclists to be at 100% ease. The week will culminate with the Horrible
Hundred which will have routes of 36, 74, & 104 miles, pick your poison well, just
don't forget to have fun in the process. An account of last year's Horrible Hundred
can be see at: BREAKING NEWZ.

"Are Here Again"
Hey fellow cyclists, Team GP-
The next practice ride will be Saturday, July 31, 2010. Due to popular demand, the practice ride will start at 7:30AM sharp. The venue will be in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. We are going to be meeting at the Grand Army Plaza entrance to the Park, which is adjacent to the library. To be more specific, we will be meeting just inside the Park to the right. So please walk inside the Park entrance and we will be just off to the right on the grassy area.
We will go through our pre-
Be sure to have the necessary items when you come to the ride; a helmet, hydration,
a phone, identification, protein bar/banana, and maybe a few dollars.
Last year's practice rides were a lot of fun and we are looking forward to meeting new and returning friends. The next set of practice rides will be a trip to Nyak from either Central Park or from just across the G.W. Bridge. We will also take a ride into the Palisades Park which is actually apart of the Bike MS NYC route.
Lastly, please send an rsvp email to gpsncyclingclub@gpsnewz.com just to alert us of your attendance. We would like to have an idea of how many cyclists we should be prepared for. Hope to hear from everyone soon and see you in a week.
