The best time to take supplements is with food because as the body automatically digests food, your body will assimilate those supplements along with the food you are consuming. That’s how the body was designed to work best.

 

However, there are exceptions to that rule and there are supplements that do work best when taken on an empty stomach. This prevents competition during assimilation (or contra-indication) which is vitamins working against each other. Some supplements are designed to stimulate, wake up and energize. When done accordingly, your body will be able to digest the minerals and use them in repairing muscle, tissues and cells.
