On the road to fitness and athletic success, "Staying Ahead" is the name of the game.
The general rule that many successful athletes live by is, "If you are early, you
are on time, if you are on time, you are late, and if you are a little late, you
may have not even bother showing up at all." We at GP Sports & Nutritrion have always
encouraged our athletes and associates to stay ahead of the game and we would love
for you to do the same.
For example, we are approaching the last months of the year where the weather will
be changing -
Firstly, reflect on what has been accomplished this year and compare that to what you had intended on accomplishing. From that assessment, chart the way for what is to be accomplished next year. Once you have some idea of what you would like to target, go for it. Start putting in place an eating, sleeping, fitness, mental, and an activity regiment that will compliment your efforts towards your goal.
For example, in our "Cycling & Fitness" program, we have several accomplished cyclists on board. Already, they have reflected on the miles completed and to be completed for 2008; from this, they have set a chart for mileage to be accomplshed next year. They keep a cycling log that tracks and records their cycling activities as the cycling season approaches it end. Our cyclists have also answered their nutritional concerns by planning to detoxify their internal system by the end of the year and they have also planned a very strict diet to compliment their overall cycling efforts.
Our track and field athletes have adopted and practice the same principle. As the track and field season comes to an end. They have started an end of season long run/strength running program which is accompanied by moderate to heavey lifting. They have started eating more greens as a means to begin the detoxifying process and they will continue this effort and increase it as the indoor track and field season approaches in late January.
"The Athlete Who Plans To Fail, Fail To Plan." We want to counter this reality and bring you much success in your fitness efforts. In all you do, safety is the key. Besides wearing the proper athletic attire, always consult with your physician before taking on any athletic activity
