2008 Installment of the Horrible Hundred lived up to its name sake. It was truly Horrible. Firstly, the temparature went from the mid 80s the days before to 65 (high) on the day of the ride. It was windy  (12mph) which make things felt like mid 40s at the start (8:30AM). Despite the many climbs, the worse part of the ride was the wind that seem to be a "head-wind" no matter in what direction you turn. The ride added some new turns which were only new hills to climb. If you are a cyclist that live to climb and you weigh a wopping 145lbs, then this would be the ride for you. However, for the other 90% of us, it was just horrible. Nevertheless, Team GP Sports will be back for next year's installment of the Horrible Hundred and this time we are planning a week long trip. Look out for the official announcement in the near future.

Team GP Sports Cycling & Fitness had another "Great" year of cycling. We attended rides such as: Twinlights in Highland, New Jersey, Tour The Bronx, in Bronx, New York, The Horrible Hundred in Clermont, Florida, Tour The Hamptons in Long Island, New York, Seagull Century in Salisbury, Maryland and many more.

As the cycling year comes to an end, Team GP Sports is primed once again to participate in several bike rides in 2009. We will be informing you as the event list gets compiled. In the mean time stay tuned to our fitness and training articles that will help to maintain your fitness over the holidays. Team GP Sports would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout the year. Have a "Great" holiday season.
