The participating cyclists of Team GP Sports Cycling & Fitness is our recipient of "Great Performance" for the month of October. They are sharing this honor with the New York City Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society who have been instrumental in their many tasks. The bike ride took place on October 5th, 2008. The day started off quite unpleasant and remained ugly for much of the morning. However, things started to turn around by the time we pulled into the first rest-stop and steadily improved as the day went on. Cycling through the Lincoln Tunnel was a "BLAST." Crossing into New Jersey presented its fair share of challenges which added to the gratification of the day. Nevertheless, upon completing the 68 miles, the real fun got started back at Pier 96. There were music, food, lots of sports beverages, and great company. Lets just say for next year, this ride is a fixture on GP Sports' calendar.

Team GP Sports Cycling & Fitness had another "Great" showing at this year's Twinlights Cycling Event in Highland, New Jersey. On this day, rain was the order of the day. Cycling shoes got soggy fast and there were no need for glasses, you could not see through them from the fog that was formed.

As the day progressed, things got much improved and it turned out to be a "Great" ride in general. From this ride, some of the cyclists will be heading to Maryland to ride in the Seagull Century, while others will stick around for MS NYC. The cycling year has truly been productive and rewarding.

Coming up shortly on our calendar will be Tour the Bronx in NYC and The Horrible Hundred in Clermont, Florida.
