The MACC is Atlanta's premier cycling club
that serves as a beacon for cycling excellence.
Their youth cycling programs, charity efforts,
bike tours and more are just a few of many
wonderful things that they do. Greg Masterson
is the current President of the MACC who is
an accomplished cyclists in every respects. For
those who have been forturnate enough to either
ride with Greg or compete with him would
understand such sentiments. On the other hand,
If you have not been so lucky, just know that
the man does not get tired.
Some members of team GP Sports Cycling &
Fitness got the opportunity to ride with Greg
while he was in Orlando, Florida earlier this
year. Florida as you know is plenty flat and so
was the Van Fleet Trail on the day of the ride.
The Van Fleet Trail is approximately 30 miles
one way and the ride was for 60 miles out and
back. The speed of the ride averaged just about
25 mph and there were times when my
cyclometer climbed above 30 mph.

Members of the MACC travel as far South as the Horrible 100 in Clermont, Florida
and as far North as the Seagull Century, in Salisbury, Maryland. To learn more about
Greg Masterson and the MACC 's many accomplishments, visit their website: MACC.
The One Love Century is the MACC's signature bike ride of the year. It's one of the
premiered bike rides in the state of Georgia. Besides hosting a bike ride that brings
out hundreds of cyclists, the proceeds of the ride goes directly into promoting and
assisting cycling among youths. 2009 One Love Century will be on Labor Day Weekend.
GO Riding With The MACC
If you are ever in the Atlanta, Georgia
area, feel free to contact the MACC to
go riding with them. Just be sure to have
your engine fine tuned. The weekend I
happen to be in Georgia and went riding
with the MACC, they were doing a 300k
Brevet that went from Atlanta, Georgia to
Jacksonville, Alabama and back.
