Principle #1

The First Principle To Reaching Your Highest Potential Is That You Need To Have The Right Mental Preparation

Superstar coaches and athletes understand that their primary objective is to focus on mental preparation, and not solely on their training activities. With the right mental preparation, you'll have the discipline to work harder on yourself, to know what is expected of you during competition and training.

You'll find most coaches and athletes have it backwards. They believe that you need to be training harder everyday and with this hard training- the results will come. This is not true at all. In fact, some of the most successful coaches and athletes are only mediocre in their technical abilities, but they understand the power of the mind in action.

Deep and lasting success stems from the power of the mind. If you understand the power of your mind in action, you can tap into your inner self and maximize your true potential in less time than you would imagine.

Thoughts enter our subconscious mind without us realizing it, so you'll need to be mindful of the thought seeds you sow. Furthermore, since our thoughts can be contrary to our belief systems, we need to clear negative thoughts such as: fear, hate, jealousy, greed, anger, and pride everyday -because they can prevent us from reaching our highest potential.

We have dominance over our thoughts. We can sow seeds such as: success, prosperity, confidence, joy, dedication and watch them grow to maturity. In addition, to eliminate negative thoughts, you'll need to look back each day to see what you did right or wrong, and determine how you could have corrected your errors in judgment, (if any were made). You'll need to consider how you can be better at what you do, who didn't you see that you should have seen, and what discipline-or actions- you left undone during the last few hours.

This is important and should be done everyday or at least once per week. This will help you to deal effectively with any unresolved issues so you can maintain your focus over longer periods of time. As a result you'll get, better at what you do, grow stronger mentally and physically and be wiser and more prepared for challenges that lie ahead.

Another thing to remember is that the right mental preparation- or sowing the right seeds - covers everything; training, sleeping, eating, etc. I am not telling you that you should not get the best coach or athletes available, but what I am telling you, is that if you are not getting the right mental preparation that enables you to get stronger, wiser and better, you'll never reach your highest potential.

This is the key to your success; this is what separates winners from losers, and will determine how good you can be. So, the first thing you should do is to work on your mind and self and everything will take care of itself thereafter. Once your mind is right, you'll have the dedication, motivation and confidence to do what is best for you.
